Ross Burach loves drawing pictures, making up jokes, dabbling in animation, and hanging out with his family. My 4 year old loves this story!

Love, love, love this book! It has amazing illustrations, great story line, and great concepts covered. Like, metamorphosis, patience, migration, just to name a few. You have got to add this book to your library!

Funny! Great story! Good lesson for kids! This has become a favorite for both of my children.

My 5 year old loves this one! She clearly identifies with the impatient caterpillar. My husband sounds like he is having just as much fun reading to to her as she has listening to it.

Cute and funny. Would be a great read-aloud.

Such a colorful and fun book for little ones! My 18 m.o. really loves to point to the stars and the moon, and I love reading it to her! Hopefully this will help to encourage a fascination with the night sky, our solar system, and science in general.

This book is colorful and educational. I as an adult learned something new in the first couple pages. My 20 month old loves everything space related and is totally enamored by it! I actually just found out this author wrote a weather book too and plan to get it too!!!

My son loves this book and I would give it 5 stars if it was made better. I ordered this book several months ago, but after about a month of lots of reading, the paper/film with the image started separating from the board on the middle page (Saturn) and it eventually split down the middle beyond repair. I just ordered a replacement copy - my son loves it so much that he's sleeping with it at night, but now, after only one day, I've had to add tape to the same area in an effort to stop it from separating again - sadly, I feel that will only work for a little while.

I bought this book for our grandson who is 2 1/2. Once I gave it to him he insisted on sitting on my lap and have it read to him. The bright colors and shapes appealed to him and as he is interested in the solar system, the book was a hit.

I purchased this book for my 20 month old daughter to introduce her to simple concepts about science. She absolutely loved the book as soon as I opened it. It’s colorful, has great illustrations as well as short and interesting facts about each planet.Not a deal Breaker for me but it does list Pluto in the book. It is however, correctly labeled as a dwarf planet, which it was demoted to in August 2006 by the International Astronomical Union (IAU). If you are concerned with any confusion regarding Pluto it may not be the book for you.Personally I loved it and plan on purchasing a few more of the author’s books!

As a huge fan of collage art (think The Very Hungry Caterpillar), I was so happy with this book. There are broad sentences about each celestial feature followed by a little "fun fact". Perfect for inspiring the imagination and visually appealing. The board book looks like it will hold up to years of love.

This is a wonderful book! My son was 17 months old when we got this book and he insisted on reading it every night for about a month and then from time to time since then. It has a page for every planet in the solar system and something quite cool is that although the illustrations are colorful drawings, many of the planets look surprisingly close to the real photographs of the planets. There are a few interesting facts about each planet - just enough for little ones to find interesting. My son is walks around now saying 'Jupiter!' 'Largest!' 'Great Red Spot!'. Very happy with this book!

My son is telling everyone he meets that we live on planet earth after careful study of this beautiful book. He has also decided ladybugs should live on Venus (unrelated observation). The artwork is truly beautiful (I don't often think that even with the all of the praise heaped upon illustrations for children's books these days) and the facts presented are interesting without being overly complex. My 2 1/2 year old and I heartily recommend.
